The Challenge

An e-commerce platform processing $50M in annual revenue experienced catastrophic failures during the previous two Black Friday events, losing an estimated $800K in sales from website crashes. Their monolithic application running on fixed-size EC2 instances could not handle the 10x traffic surge, and manual scaling attempts came too late to prevent outages.

Our Solution

CloudTechForce redesigned the platform architecture for elastic scalability. We containerized the application and deployed on Amazon ECS with Fargate for serverless container management, implemented multi-tier auto-scaling (application, database read replicas, and CDN), migrated static assets to CloudFront CDN for global distribution, deployed Amazon ElastiCache (Redis) to offload database queries, set up comprehensive load testing simulating 10x traffic before Black Friday, and implemented real-time monitoring with automated alerting and self-healing.
