The Challenge
A 150-person management consulting firm wanted to deploy Microsoft 365 Copilot to give their consultants an AI advantage. However, they had overly permissive SharePoint permissions, no sensitivity labels, and concerns about client-confidential data being surfaced inappropriately across engagement teams.
Our Solution
CloudTechForce conducted a Copilot Readiness Assessment that identified 47 permission issues and 12 data governance gaps. We remediated SharePoint permissions to enforce client-matter isolation, implemented Microsoft Purview sensitivity labels across all client documents, configured Data Loss Prevention policies, deployed Copilot to a pilot group of 25 users for 4 weeks, then rolled out firm-wide with custom training focused on consulting workflows: proposal writing, meeting summarization, data analysis, and presentation creation.
Results
35% reduction in time spent on document creation
Meeting summary automation saved 5+ hours per consultant per week
Zero data cross-contamination incidents (47 permission issues fixed pre-launch)
100% Copilot adoption within 6 weeks of rollout
Client satisfaction scores increased 12% (faster deliverable turnaround)
"The Copilot deployment was transformative, but only because CloudTechForce fixed our data governance first. Without that preparation, we would have had a data security nightmare. Instead, we got a 35% productivity boost with zero incidents."
