Microsoft 365

Microsoft 365 Migration Services

We move businesses of 10–500 users to Microsoft 365 from Google Workspace, on-premises or hosted Exchange, IMAP and POP mail, GoDaddy-resold Microsoft 365, and from one Microsoft 365 tenant to another. Every migration has a written plan, a scheduled cutover (usually a weekend), a rollback point and two weeks of post-migration support. Pricing is fixed per mailbox and per terabyte; teams of 10–20 users get a standard migration free when they start a quarterly managed IT plan.

What is included in every migration

  1. Discovery and plan. Mailbox and data inventory, domain and DNS review, licence plan, cutover date, communication plan for staff, rollback criteria.
  2. Tenant preparation. Domains verified, users and groups created or synced, MFA and Conditional Access baseline applied before the first mailbox lands, mail-flow rules, anti-phishing and spam policies configured.
  3. Pre-staging. Historical mail, calendars, contacts and files copied in the background while the old system stays live.
  4. Cutover. DNS switched, final delta sync, mail flow verified, mobile devices and Outlook profiles reconfigured, staff briefed with a one-page "what changed" guide.
  5. Post-migration support. Two weeks of priority help desk for migration-related issues, a permissions audit on SharePoint and OneDrive, and a handover document.
  6. Security baseline. MFA enforced, legacy authentication blocked, admin roles reviewed, audit log on, backups configured (Microsoft does not back up your data for you).

Why migrations fail, and how we avoid it

  • DNS changed before mail was fully staged. We stage first, then switch, and keep the old system readable for 30 days.
  • Shared mailboxes, aliases and distribution lists forgotten. Discovery captures every address that receives mail, not just users.
  • Calendar acceptances and recurring meetings broken. We migrate calendars with the right tool for the source and test recurring items before cutover.
  • Google Drive "shared with me" files lost. Ownership and sharing are mapped and reported; orphaned files go to a reviewed archive site.
  • Nobody told the staff. A communication plan and a live Q&A session on cutover day.
  • Security added "later". The baseline goes in before users do, which is also when it is cheapest to enforce.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How long does an Office 365 migration take?
Small IMAP or Google Workspace migrations take one to three weeks including planning, with a single weekend cutover. Hybrid Exchange and tenant-to-tenant migrations take four to eight weeks because of coexistence and identity work.
Will we lose email during the migration?
No. Mail is pre-staged while the old system stays live, and cutover happens outside business hours with a final delta sync.
Do you migrate Google Drive and shared drives?
Yes: My Drive to OneDrive, Shared Drives to SharePoint, with sharing permissions mapped and a report of anything that could not be mapped. See the Google Workspace migration page.
Can you migrate us away from GoDaddy Microsoft 365?
Yes. GoDaddy tenants are federated to GoDaddy's identity system; we defederate, move the domain and data to a tenant you control, and set up licensing so you are no longer tied to the reseller.
Do we need new licences before you start?
Yes, but we help you pick the cheapest plan that meets your needs and time the purchase so you are not paying for two systems for longer than necessary.
Is the migration really free for 10–20 users?
Yes, when you start a quarterly managed IT plan. It covers mailboxes, files, user and device onboarding and the security baseline. Servers, custom applications and hybrid identity are quoted separately. See the terms.
